If Nash Watson Ltd is contracted to perform a service for you, we are required, by law, to see proof of identification, this could be a driving license, a passport and a recent utility bill with proof of your current address displayed clearly. In terms of regulatory and statutory responsibilities, we are required to ascertain if you have any connections or a conflict of interest with any personnel at Nash Watson Ltd.
We may, if applicable, gather personal data from reliable sources such as credit agencies, financial institutes, government land registers, and police registers.
If your Selling, Letting, Renting or Buying, where applicable, we request the following:
Full name, contact details – postal address, phone number and email address. If selling, your current position, and for valuation purposes, the full address of the relevant property. If you are letting we request proof of consent and if you live overseas, we will request your tax code.
If you are a prospective tenant we will request information regarding employment status and affordability and, if necessary, guarantor information. If referenced, previous landlord, address and bank details will be asked for in order to carry out a credit check. We may share your personal data with a third party referencing agency in order to ascertain suitability to rent and detect or prevent crime such as fraud and money laundering.
When enquiring about a service or product, making an appointment, requesting a callback, or responding to a campaign, we may process data provided when you fill in our website forms or when you contact us via email and telephone.
In order for us to perform our contract with a vendor, buyer, landlord or tenant, we process data to arrange property details, a contract of sale and lease agreement. In terms of buying, proof of affordability will be requested and if applicable, the details of nominated solicitors.
Managing property:
When managing a property it may entail passing your personal information to a third-party contractor who, for example, may be required to carry out works and maintenance to your property.
